The Singapore Flyer turns slowly enough that you barely feel it move, while the whole Marina Bay skyline unrolls below.

Opened to the public on 1 March 2008, the Flyer stands 165 metres high on a wheel 150 metres across. Its 28 capsules each carry up to 28 people, and one rotation takes about 30 minutes, long enough to take in the bay, the towers and the waterfront at leisure. It runs from 10 am to 10 pm, so you can ride by day or after dark.

The wheel stands at Marina Centre, by Exit A of Promenade MRT. It pairs naturally with a walk along the 3.5 km bay promenade, which links Merlion Park, the Esplanade, the Helix Bridge and Marina Bay Sands; walk early or after 5 pm, when the midday heat has eased. Allow one to two hours for the full loop.
